Beautiful location, service slow, very noisy...we arrived at 7pm for our seafood dinner for two. We waited along time between courses, and clearing off plates took along time. Overall felt the whole experience could have been better.
Very enjoyable great service and food. Fresh uncomplicated and delicious.
It was a spur of the moment decision to stop and have lunch here. And we ate so glad that we did! We had the hot seafood platter for two followed by the chocolate brownie. We could not fault the good for quality or quantity. If we were locals, this would become our date night spot.
This restaurant was a major disappointment on the one thing should get right - the food. The views over the hinterland are gorgeous, the decor fine, and the service appropriate. But on what we ate whoever is cooking there needs to be replaced or re-educated. There is no interest or passion evident in the food. The 'lunch special' of a Cajun-style fish was dry and overlooked. The side of chips should have been the tell that this is not restaurant quality offerings. Add a tossed Greek salad to get some greens on the plate brought the total cost to $34 for a very average offering. A risked dessert of the 'signature' brandy snap dessert offered a large basket-shaped brandy snap filled with ice cream and cream and topped with some mixed berries. A sugary nothing. My partners snapper was well-cooked and moist but again served with the pub-styled sweet potato chips and a moderate salad. This restaurant claims be a seafood specialist but on what we were served, we could have found better food at many local cafes or pubs for a lot less. A big
We had a fairly good night here. After ready all the amazing reviews we had tried to get in a number of times but ether booked out or when we did book they had accidentally double booked and they were full. So one last chance and we got in on a quiet night. It was just the 2 of us on a special night and they put us near the fireplace for a nice setting which was great. Food was fair but we had higher expectations to be honest. We ordered the Seafood Platter with steak and the prawns and oysters were great. The Morten bay bugs were tasteless and dripping water. They felt like they had been defrosted. The steak was amazing but the potatoes were very very dry and had to have sauce to eat them. All up an average night for $200
